The season premiere will be the 208th episode of the series.
"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 is still currently in production, but some of its cast members and producers have been teasing fans with some interesting details about the upcoming season.
Most recently, Kunal Nayyar who plays Raj Koothrappali, posted on Instagram details of the highly anticipated season premiere which happens to be the show's 208th episode.
Special guest stars
In an Instagram post, Nayyar covered the premiere's title was covered with pen. However, it revealed that the episode was written by Chuck Lorre, Jim Reynolds and Eric Kaplan, and directed by Mark Cendrowski.
During a recent interview , Executive Producer Steve Molaro disclosed that the Season 10 premiere will have Katey Sagal and Jack McBrayer as guests. They will be playing Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) mother and brother, respectively.
The morning after last season's finale
Molaro further revealed that Episode 1 of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 will pick up immediately from last season's finale.
In fact, it will start the morning after Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) mom Mary and Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) dad Alfred had a date and spent the night together. Hopefully, whether the two hookedup or not will be answered in the first episode of the season. Mary and Alfred will be played by Laurie Metcalf and Judd Hirsch, respectively..
Viewers, on the other hand, will see Penny fetching her mother Susan and brother Randall from the airport. They are in town to attend Penny and Leonard's second wedding. It will be an awkward trip to the wedding venue for Penny and her visitors as some spoilers reveal.
Molaro divulged that Katey has been previously asked to guest in an earlier episode, but things didn't work out. Her name, however, continued to float around since she is well loved in the series. When the time to introduce Penny's mom felt right, her name immediately came up, according to Molaro.

Meanwhile, CBS Entertainment President Glen Geller recently shut down rumors that Season 10 will be the last for "The Big Bang Theory" primarily due to the superstar cast's non-renewal of contracts. He expressed confidence that the series will move past 10 seasons.
Geller said everyone involved in the series wants to continue. He also announced at the recent Television Critics Association summer press tour that he knows Warner Bros will make the deals with the stars, specifically Cuoco, Parsons, and Galecki. It was previously reported that the three make $1 million each per episode.
