'The Big Bang Theory' Season 8 Spoilers: Episode 12 'The Space Probe Disintegration' Recap

Last Thursday's episode of "The Big Bang Theory" was all about compromise, as Sheldon and Leonard agree to do what Amy and Penny what to do for a change, and Sheldon and Leonard have a heart to heart about their friendship.

The episode titled "The Space Probe Disintegration" starts with Leonard and Sheldon playing "Lord of the Rings" Risk when they were supposed to have lunch with Penny and Amy. Tired of going along with what their boyfriends want, the two girls finally decide that today, the four of them will do what they want to do.

A couple of activities are suggested for their group date. Amy says no to horseback riding because of her hips, and ice skating is also out because of her brittle ankles. In the end, Sheldon suggests that the girls should go shopping while he and Leonard hold their purses and sit on uncomfortable chairs.

They do what Sheldon says, and at the store, Sheldon and Leonard play an imaginary game of "Lord of the Rings" Risk. Leonard says that Sheldon is handling the shopping remarkably well, and Sheldon says that he had a lot of practice for the outing since he has been compromising all these years.

Leonard is incredulous and listed all the things that he was forced to compromise on, from wearing shoes that don't squeak to not being able to live with Penny because the last time he brought it up with Sheldon, he got on a train and ran away.

Sheldon then says that he's the nicer roommate because Leonard has been mean to him a lot. The two make compromises, and Sheldon thanks Leonard for putting up with him and says that he can't imagine being in a world without his best friend in it. In turn, Leonard says that he will gradually move in with Penny, starting with one night a week at her place. By the time Penny and Amy emerge from the dressing room they find their boyfriends being very emotional.

"The Big Bang Theory" airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS.
