'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Episode 10 Spoilers: Sheldon Will Be Visited by a Dear, Old Friend

Before the "big event" happens to Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) in episode 11, as previously reported, fans are curious if the two will get back together first. It seems that Sheldon will get a big help from a dear, old friend in the upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory," in the form of Professor Proton (Bob Newhart).

Loyal fans of the show all know that the good Professor Proton, also known as Dr. Arthur Jeffries, died in season 7 episode 22, which is titled "The Proton Transmogrification," but he will be back to visit Sheldon in his dreams. It appears that Sheldon's good friend and childhood hero will be back next episode to give him "sound" advice, according to Carter Matt. The website also said he will help Sheldon make very important decisions, which may eventually lead him and Amy to finally get intimate in episode 11.

In an earlier report by Spoilers Guide, a photo of Sheldon and Professor Proton was seen, and the late professor is dressed up in Jedi garb. The theme is very timely since "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will also premiere in cinemas soon, and viewers know that the boys of "The Big Bang Theory" are big "Star Wars" fans.

Meanwhile, Amy and Sheldon's relationship ended with a big question mark last episode, which is titled "The Platonic Permutation." After playing a newly Sheldon Cooper invented game called "Friend, Food, Fight," Amy realized how much she misses Sheldon, and all his "craziness." She told him that she's ready to be his girlfriend again, but Sheldon declined and said he prefers for them to be just "friends." Amy was seen holding back her tears as she drives after hearing him say he rather have her as a friend. Fans are excited to know how this new "friendship" will transition to being "intimate" in the next few episodes.

"The Big Bang Theory" is currently on hiatus due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but is expected to be back this December on CBS.
