'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Episode 16 Spoilers: Howard Is In For a Surprise

The gang of CBS' hit sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 will have a big reason to celebrate when the show returns this week with a brand new episode called "The Positive Negative Reaction."

According to the synopsis from The Futon Critic, the whole squad will find out about Bernadette's pregnancy. They will be so happy about it that they will decide to go out for some karaoke. But the most affected of them all is the father of Bernadette's baby, Howard.

More than anyone else, Howard is very happy with the news.

"That's incredible!" Howard said in the promo video for the episode.

But beyond the excitement, the mom-to-be will be worried about how this could affect her husband who will suddenly become obsessed with the notion that he needs to make more money in order for them to provide for the baby and the growing family.

Howard's reaction is quite understandable given that he grew up without a father to support him. Fans may recall how the character revealed the hardship he had to undergo to make it through life and that is exactly what he doesn't want to happen to his own child. Apparently, the news of him having a kid is both quite exciting and scary.

For Bernadette, what she wants most is for Howard to enjoy this huge moment in their lives where they get to see their child grow and develop. The woman knows that Howard will turn out to be a good father. But she's still worried over how the man freaks out over the upcoming responsibility.

"I shouldn't be raising a kid! I don't even eat my own vegetables!" Howard told his guy friends.

More than ever, things will definitely turn out fine between the two. Or will it?

Find out how these all unfolds when "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 Episode 16 premieres this Thursday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
