'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9, Episode 17 Spoilers: 200th Episode Sees Adam West Crash Sheldon's Birthday Party
Thursday's episode of "The Big Bang Theory" is very special, not only because it will feature Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) birthday party but it will also bring in special guest star Adam West for the festivities.
According to Entertainment Weekly, West will make an appearance to bring joy not only to television's biggest genius but to ignite some nostalgic moments for the entire brainy team. The actor is best known for his "Batman" performance in the 1960s series and he will also portray himself in BBT's 200th episode to make the day much more thrilling.
For fans who aren't aware yet, the Caped Crusader is Sheldon's hero, aside from Stephen Hawking. West's appearance is expected to make the episode more special since Sheldon's good, old friends, Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Raj (Kunal Nayyar), and Howard (Simon Helberg), all love the man.
There's more to the upcoming episode than Bruce Wayne's appearance since it has also been revealed that Christine Baranski will return to play Leonard's mom, the great Dr. Beverly Hodstadter. John Ross Bowie will also be back as Barry Kripke, and Wil Wheaton will appear to portray himself.
Finally, there's Sara Gilbert, whose role is Leslie Winkle, Leonard's former flame. Although there are no details about the upcoming episode's plot, it is rumored that Winkle's return may cause some issues between lovebirds Leonard and Penny (Kaley Cuoco).
Leonard went looking for love when he first broke up with Penny in season 3, and while the man is now happy, Winkle's return might fuel some fire from the past that was supposed to be long forgotten.
It is also rumored that Sheldon will finally pop the question to Amy (Mayim Bialik) during his birthday party. Sheldon's proposal has been hampered due to some unfortunate events in his relationship with Amy, but fans have long been requesting for an engagement between the two.
None of the rumors are sure to happen since no synopsis has been revealed by CBS, but it is expected that Sheldon's party will be a blast.
The 200th episode of "The Big Bang Theory" will air Thursday, Feb. 25, on CBS.
