'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Spoilers: Spotlight Thrown On Raj and His Love Life

An upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will show Raj, played by Kunal Nayyar, making a big decision in his life.

It was reported that he will finally get the guts to break up with his girlfriend, Emily, played by Laura Spencer. It was stated that he will realize that she is not what he is looking for.

According to TV Line, the executive producer of the series, Steve Molaro, recently shared some insight on Raj's upcoming decision. He stated, "I think he knows in his heart that it might not be the right person for him, but for a sensitive and insecure guy like him, the thought of choosing to break up with someone and then be alone is difficult. That's something he will be wrestling with further in season 9."

However, not all is bad for Raj as there are speculations that he will find another love interest in the future. There are rumors stating that Raj might end up getting together with Claire, played by Alessandra Torresani. A previous episode saw the two meeting at the comic book store.

In addition, it seems as though his good luck is not limited to his love life. It was revealed that the upcoming episode of the series will have Raj meeting a sci-fi fantasy writer who could help him with his dreams.

In the same episode, it was revealed that a new character will be introduced to the series. It was stated that Jane Squibb will be taking on the role of Meemaw, Sheldon's grandmother. However, she will not be too happy about meeting Amy, played by Mayim Bialik, since she had heard about their recent breakup. With that, fans are hoping that the two will get along somehow.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode 14 is expected to air on CBS this Feb. 4.
