'The Blacklist' Spoilers: Task Force Goes After the Caretaker; Liz Learns More About Her Mother
American crime drama television series "The Blacklist" is all set to air its season 3 episode 16 and spoilers say that the task force is going to deal with a new case. As reported in Parent Herald, the synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "The Caretaker" reveals that Liz Keen (Megan Boone) and Red Reddington (James Spader) will be investigating the death of a State Department official in Beijing.
The two will associate the murder to a secret keeper known as the Caretaker who is described to be someone who maintains a solid safety deposit vault for criminals. Both Liz and Red will be working alongside the task force to look for the Caretaker and his collection of secrets.
In the promo video released, the Caretaker is seen keeping important and classified information in a cemetery. Latin Post detailed that he will consequently start giving away some information about the criminals. Apparently, it will also include details about Red's past. With that, Red hastens to cover up his secrets before anyone else can discover the details about him from the Caretaker.
But it may be too late as the promo video shows Liz being upset at Red over a certain secret. It's not known yet what it would be but it's assumed that it has something to do with Liz's mother, Katarina Rostova. Red once told Liz that her mother was last seen walking into an ocean. But after receiving a painting from Rostova, Red is fumbling that Liz's mother is still alive and looking for her. Liz may have found out the truth so once again, Liz's relationship with Red is put to a test.
The synopsis also mentioned that Tom (Ryan Eggold) will be making a risky decision and this could involve searching for Gina Zanetakos (Margarita Levieva) to obtain a portion of the money from the jewelry heist. Liz and Tom have also decided to keep their baby instead of putting it up for adoption.
"The Blacklist" season 3 episode 16 will air on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
