Good news for all gamers of "The Crew: Wild Run." Developer Ivory Tower is giving out some treats to its players this month of January. According to Game Pur, Ubisoft's open world racing game will be getting its first major patch for its expansion sometime this month. There's no specific release date yet but it's said to be coming "very soon."

And to keep the hype up, Ivory Tower has released the patch notes for the upcoming January update. As detailed in Game Spot, the update will be bringing along with it some new content and features that will surely have gamers spending lots of their time in front of the video game.

The first thing that can be noted in the patch notes is the Speed Trap challenge, which is a new game feature that will debut during "The Summit". It will be held on Jan. 25 and it will involve players finding the best path to go through the radar points at maximum speed. They will then get their final score which is their average speed from all the radar points.

Speed Trap is further explained in a post by the official website and it says that the challenges will be set on asphalt. Each challenge will have up to five speed traps that can be found all over the place. Players should take note that they will not be able to utilize the fast travel feature while they're on Speed Trap.

A Photo Mode will also be added as a feature in the game and this will let players take in-game screenshots anywhere in FreeDrive.

There's also going to be a "The Summit" monthly reward bonus event. The players can get a chance to win an exclusive vehicle here. Getting the prize will depend though on the gamer's performance at the end of the month (during the month's last week). Aside from that, the notes also detailed a bonus chance that players can have for higher chances of winning the exclusive vehicle.

As detailed, "Participation qualifiers throughout the month will award players with a +5% bonus chance of winning the exclusive vehicle for the month. This +5% bonus will be granted whether you achieve bronze, silver, gold, or platinum medals in any qualifier."

Several improvements have been made as well like in the Monster Trucks gameplay, crew time attack missions, drift missions and the handling of several vehicles.
