'The Flash' News, Spoilers: Cyborg to Appear In 'The Flash' Solo Film?

The Flash (Ezra Miller) could be joined by another Justice League superhero in his upcoming stand-alone feature film.

According to executive producer Deborah Snyder, Cyborg (Ray Fisher), who was introduced in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" along with the rest of the Justice League, could show up in 2018's "The Flash."

The DC Extended Universe producer recently spoke to Forbes about the upcoming DCEU films and the various tones employed in each.

"David Ayer's 'Suicide Squad' has such an amazing, brash tone," she said. "It's fun and it's about the villains, and it's super-different than Patty Jenkins' 'Wonder Woman,' which is an origin story and tells her story."

Snyder then proceeded to drop some major details about "The Flash." "As you can imagine, when we get to the Flash movie, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher — who plays Cyborg — are kind of our youngest characters, and they have a really nice comradery with each other," she said. "Ezra is super funny, so the tone of that film will be very different than the rest of them."

The recently released "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which was helmed by Deborah's husband and co-producer Zack Snyder, set up the future of the DC cinematic universe and gave DC fans a peek at the members of the Justice League. In the film, The Flash had some additional screen time, appearing in a dream sequence in which he travels back in time to warn Batman (Ben Affleck) about a future threat.

But while Cyborg fans were only afforded the smallest of glimpses of the superhero in "Dawn of Justice," it now sounds like he will be getting some extra screen time in the DCEU. DC may be taking a page from the Marvel Cinematic Universe playbook by incorporating characters who aren't the main protagonist into its solo films, a technique that has paid off for Marvel.

"The Flash," which will be helmed by "The Lego Batman Movie" writer Seth Grahame-Smith, is slated for a March 16, 2018 release.
