It was revealed that the new character will be called Trajectory, who will harness the same power as Barry. However, her power will have her own set of limitations that fans are excited to see explored during her time on the series.

According to ComingSoon.net, the synopsis for the upcoming episode stated, "Deciding to blow off some steam, Barry and the team head out for a night on the town only to encounter an unexpected speedster who is up to no good. Iris (Candice Patton) is challenged by an assignment from her new boss (guest star Tone Bell), and is surprised when friction turns to flirtation."
