'The Flash' Season 2 News: Robbie Amell Says His Character Will Kill A Series Regular In Upcoming Episode
Recurring guest actor Robbie Amell, who plays the role of Ronnie Raymond and his Earth-2 counterpart Deathstorm in The CW's superhero action/drama series "The Flash," has just dropped what may be a huge spoiler for the "Arrow" spinoff's second season, ComicBook.com reports.
Speaking from the "Flash" panel at the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey last weekend, Amell revealed that his character, Deathstorm, will kill one of the show's regular cast members in a forthcoming episode. Amell's original "The Flash" character, Ronnie Raymond, was killed in the Season 2 premiere, titled "The Man Who Saved Central City," which aired on October 6, 2015. Raymond was a S.T.A.R. Labs engineer who sacrificed himself to save Central City from the singularity that threatened to consume it. The CW has confirmed that Amell will return in an upcoming episode as the evil, Earth-2 Ronnie Raymond version known as Deathstorm, along with the Earth-2 counterpart of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Killer Frost.
"In episode 13, so in a couple weeks, you'll see me as Deathstorm, and Caitlin as Killer Frost," Amell told the press at the panel. "So I get to come back, and I kill a series regular," he revealed.
"So there's that, I'm probably going to get in trouble for saying that," the actor teased.
Meanwhile, The Flash/Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) has spoken up about the rumored bad blood between him and "Perks of Being A Wallflower" actor Ezra Miller, who is set to play the big-screen version of The Flash in the forthcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
"I fully support Ezra Miller as Barry Allen and the Flash on the feature side of DC," he wrote in a note posted on his Twitter page. Of fans "bashing" Miller, Gustin said, "I don't condone that type of behavior (especially on the Internet,) and I definitely don't partake."
"The Flash" Season 2 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
