'The Hulk' actor Mark Ruffalo Wants to Join 'Stranger Things' Season 3? David Harbour Has Role in Mind
Mark Ruffalo loves the cast of "Stranger Things" and he might just want to be on the show. David Harbour, who plays Chief Jim Hopper in the Netflix series, actually has a role in mind for him.
The star more famously known as the Hulk in the "Avengers" franchise was with the young kids of "Stranger Things" on "Good Morning America" one time. They took a group photo minus one cast member, Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike in the series.
Ruffalo shared the group photo on his Twitter with an accompanying caption asking if he can be the new Mike on "Stranger Things." His familiarity indicated that he also watches the show and the post elicited a response and banter between the show's Twitter account and Ruffalo.
Learning of Ruffalo's moment with the kids, Harbour said the Hulk star could play his older brother on "Stranger Things." He even has some ideas on the role's characterization.
"Jim's older, more well put together brother, Hank," Harbour said. "The star. Casts a debilitating long shadow," he further described the character.
These musings among the actors, however, aren't likely serious and might not even translate to an actual casting or story. Nevertheless, the replies pleased the fans of the popular Netflix series.
Meanwhile, production for "Stranger Things" season 3 will be underway soon. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer stated there will be another time jump and it's a necessary progression because the kid actors on the show have also grown up in real life.
"Stranger Things" season 3 will explore more on the Mind Flayer. The monster remained hovered in Hawkins as season 2's ending indicated. Ross hinted there's also more threat to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in the next season because the Mind Flayer now knows she's still alive and living among her friends.
Episodes of the first and second season of "Stranger Things" are still streaming on Netflix. It's too early, however, to announce the third season's release date.
