'The Last Man on Earth' Season 2 Episode 9: Carol Attempts to Resurrect Christmas
"The Last Man on Earth" season 2 episode 9's synopsis has just been released, and it revealed what Carol will be up to for the holidays.
In the previous episode of "The Last Man on Earth" titled "No Bull," Cleopatra Coleman's character Erica found out that she is pregnant, and so is their resident cow. But when Tandy (Will Forte) urged the group to let Phil (Boris Kodjoe) out, things turned south because the latter hurriedly took a truck and drove away. This left Erica devastated because Phil is the father of her child, according to Yibada.
Episode 9 of "The Last Man on Earth" will bring the focus to a different issue: Christmas. The show is down to its last two episodes for the season, and things are taking an exciting turn. Fox has already released the synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Secret Santa" and it revealed that Carol (Kristen Schaal) will try to bring back Christmas in the post-apocalyptic era, the Ecumenical News (EN) reports.
Because the virus has erased most of human life and took holidays and traditions with it, Carol will attempt to spread some Christmas cheer among the remaining humans. She will organize a secret Santa activity and will ask people to participate in the gift exchange, the report details.
In addition, Schaal has also given a sneak peek into what is in store for her character at the end of the season. In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly (EW), she teased an improvement in Carol's relationship with Tandy. The actress said Carol is not fooled by Tandy's rough façade and she thinks he really has special feelings for her, the report relays.
"Tandy's finally come around to realizing how special Carol has been all along. I think Tandy really tickles her, he's got a lot of life in him, and so does she," EN quotes Schaal's statement in her interview with EW. "I think they're both very happy to be together," explained Schaal.
"The Last Man on Earth" season 2 episode 9 airs on Sunday, Dec. 6 on Fox.
