'The Orville' Season 1 Episode 5: Ed to be Smitten with the Commander of Another Spacecraft

This week's episode 5 of "The Orville" season 1 will feature Ed (Seth MacFarlane) getting smitten with the captain of the stranded ship they just rescued.

Based on the synopsis of the upcoming episode of the science fiction series on Fox, Ed will fancy Pria Lavesque (guest star Charlize Theron), the commander of the spacecraft they saved from colliding with a comet.

While Ed is smitten with Pria, the same thing cannot be said about Kelly (Adrianne Palicki), though, as she will be suspicious about the commander of their rescued spacecraft.

"She may not be what she seems," Kelly says of Pria in the trailer for the upcoming episode.

However, Kelly's suspicions on Pria may be valid after all as, at the end of the trailer for "The Orville" season 1 episode 5, Ed is heard telling Pria to give him back his ship. While it remains unclear what Pria's motives are, one thing seems to be certain: The upcoming episode will be the sci-fi series' most surprising adventure by far.

Meanwhile, Theron is not the only big star to appear in "The Orville." In its previous episode, McFarlane and Theron's co-star in the movie "A Million Ways to Die in the West," Liam Neeson, also lent his presence on the show as he portrayed Dorahl, the captain of a derelict bioship. Golden Globe winner Jeffrey Tambor and Emmy winner Holland Taylor were also featured on the sci-fi series as Ed's parents in the second episode of the show.

However, Theron may not be the last big star to guest on the show as McFarlane has earlier revealed in an interview that some "Star Trek" actors are also lined up to appear in the future episodes of "The Orville." As to who those actors are, fans can only speculate for now.

"The Orville" season 1 episode 5, titled "Pria," airs this Thursday, Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
