'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 8 News: Kyle Richards Says Sister Kim Will Skip This Season
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" reality star Kyle Richards recently confirmed that her sister and former cast member Kim Richards will not be appearing in the eighth season of the show.
Kyle is one of the pioneer cast members of the show who is still part of "RHOBH's" current season along with Lisa Vanderpump.
Kim also started her reality show stint in the series back in season 1. However, she took a backseat in seasons 6 and 7, and joined the show as a guest star before completely skipping season 8, which aired its premiere episode titled "Stronger Than Ever" last Tuesday.
Days before the season 8 premiere of "RHOBH," Kyle talked to People magazine and provided some details on why her sister will completely miss the show. The former was in attendance at the party celebrating the premiere of the show and told the publication that her sister currently spends most of her time taking care of her grandchild.
"She's with her grandchild almost every day," Kyle said, referring to Kim's 1-year-old grandson, Hucksley. "I see her with him and I'm like, 'Okay you're good. You're so happy.'"
Kyle also admitted that it was not easy at first continuing in the show without her sister and added that she had tried several times to ask Kim to film with her, but the latter refused.
"There were a few times I asked her to film with me, but she didn't want to," Kyle shared. "I miss my sister Kim being on the show. It feels weird to do the show without my sister, honestly. I'm a creature of habit! I don't like change."
Fans will recall that the Richards sisters had been in several heated arguments, especially when Kyle accused her sibling of being an alcoholic. Earlier this year, Kim discussed her journey in staying sober. The subject of her sobriety was once again tackled in season 7 when Lisa Rinna shared Kyle was afraid of the possibility that Kim could relapse.
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" season 8 airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
