'The Real Housewives of New York' News: Bethenny Frankel's Ex Agrees to a Plea Deal in Stalking Case
Bethenny Frankel and her former husband Jason Hoppy's most recent legal battle has reached a conclusion.
"The Real Housewives of New York" star and her ex have resolved the stalking and harrassment charges she brought against him earlier this year. Back in January, Hoppy was arrested for allegedly threatening Frankel while at their seven-year-old daughter Bryn's school.
On Monday, Hoppy decided to take a plea deal involving an Adjournment in Contemplation of Dismissal. This means Hoppy must follow his ex-wife's order of protection for six months. The case will be dismissed if he obeys all the terms. The reality star has requested Hoppy to stay away from her place of business and home, and have zero communication with her.
"We are pleased but not at all surprised that the charges were dismissed. It's clear from the trajectory of this case that her claims were not substantiated or credited, and the motive was questioned. Mr. Hoppy looks forward to moving on with his life and his daughter," Hoppy's lawyer Alex Spiro said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Frankel's co-star Tinsely Mortimer is now back to being single. A source confirmed to Page Six that the Bravo celebrity and Scott Kluth — CEO of the money-saving website CouponCabin — have just called it quits. The former couple met in February after being set up on a blind date by Mortimer's fellow Housewife Carole Radziwill.
A different source told Us Weekly that Mortimer and Kluth are still friends despite their break-up. The two decided to part ways because they could not handle a long-distance relationship. "Tinsley and Scott would go see each other, but Tinsley doesn't want to leave New York so the distance was the biggest factor in the relationship," said the insider.
"The Real Housewives of New York" season 10 is expected to premiere early 2018 on Bravo.
