'The Real Housewives of New York' Season 9 Release Date, Spoilers, News: Trailer Teases More Drama, Tears and Confrontations in Upcoming Season

"The Real Housewives of New York" premieres in less than three weeks and to hype up its return, Bravo has released the official trailer, which gives a sneak peek at all the drama that's about to unfold in the upcoming season of the long-running reality show.

For season 9, Bravo teases that not only will old wounds be reopened but new feuds will also be forming. Things get a bit more complicated as well with the introduction of the newest cast member — Tinsley Mortimer.

Based on the teaser, drama involving Luann de Lesseps and her now-husband Tom D'Agostino Jr. continues. In the upcoming season, the housewives still have a hard time accepting Luann's fiancé despite the couple being moments away from heading down the aisle, especially due to rumors involving Tom. This leads to an emotional confrontation between Bethenny Frankel and Luann.

"In my heart, I feel like you're making a big mistake," Bethenny admits to Luann while crying.

When the latter asks why, the former says that she thinks Tom is cheating on Luann.

Meanwhile, "The Real Housewives of New York" cast members will have no problem talking about Tinsley — from her fall from the upper echelons of New York society to her much-publicized arrest in Florida. Tinsley is also not afraid to start some drama as in one scene, she becomes emotional and cries out loud that it's not easy to get over her past.

The former wife of Topper Mortimer used to be a fixture in high society, having worked for Vogue and appearing on the cover of fashion magazines like Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire. She even had her own reality show on The CW called "High Society." Now, the former "it girl" reenters the New York scene as a friend of Sonja Morgan and is ready to reclaim her throne.

Also seen in the official trailer are countless shouting matches that will surely test the housewives' friendships especially with accusations like being "crazy" or "jealous b****es" being hurled around.

Nevertheless, despite all the drama, the season will also have its fair share of lighthearted and fun times with the cast members as they go on their vacation. Some of the exciting moments teased include the Skinnygirl founder skinny-dipping in the pool, Sonja drinking way too much alcohol and the chaos that ensues as a result — like sharing a smooch with Bethenny.

To see how these events unfold, be sure to catch the season 9 premiere of "The Real Housewives of New York" on Wednesday, April 5, at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
