'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 Spoilers: Bonnie And Damon Not Romantically Involved; Alaric And Caroline Bond
Supernatural TV series "The Vampire Diaries" is returning with a new episode that will have fans think over some of the relationships, including that of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham). According to a report by Design and Trend, the two friends will become closer than ever.
However, it's not going to go beyond a platonic relationship as it is hinted that the two will not be romantically involved, no matter how close they get. Also, the three-year jump will have Bonnie getting into a relationship with Enzo (Michael Malarkey). Executive producer Caroline Dries also revealed more details to TVGuide regarding the direction that Damon and Bonnie's friendship will be heading throughout the season.
"Bonnie will continue to be a loyal friend to Damon and a very supportive person for him to lean on as he goes through the drama of the second half of the season," stated Dries. "But their relationship will also face its own obstacles down the road," she continued.

She also shared that Bonnie is practically Damon's main support system, as well as his brother Stefan (Paul Wesley). Damon may have a friendship with Alaric (Matthew Davis) but since Alaric is also dealing with his own issues including having babies with Caroline (Candice King), Damon is leaning on Bonnie even more. And if he messes things up with her, he knows that there will be bad consequences for him.
Meanwhile, the baby drama and whole engagement thing between Caroline and Alaric still baffles the fans, especially for those who are on Team "Steroline." Fans know that even with the great love Caroline has for Stefan, the two are going to end things and Caroline will move one with a new life with the vampire hunter. But even then, it's apparent that Caroline and Alaric have not romantically bonded in the series, even after the former found out she was pregnant.
But according to Zap2it, fans should expect some changes to that. A sneak peek of the upcoming episode showed Caroline bonding with Alaric over the twin babies inside her belly. Even though Caroline specifically pointed out that she is just a surrogate, it can't be help that she will have a moment with Alaric when they feel the babies kick.
