'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 Spoilers: Who is Going To Die"

After a three week break, fans will finally see the return of the hit series "The Vampire Diaries."

Although fans have been waiting to see what the rest of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7, the upcoming episodes could present some heartbreaking news. It was hinted that a character could soon be leaving the series.

The previous episodes of the season have left many of the characters' fate in question. With that, fans are anticipating the departure of some members of Mystic Falls. This would not be the first time for the series to lose a beloved character. The show's former leading lady, Nina Dobrev, recently left the show, which upset many fans.

In addition, one of the show's most popular stars, Ian Somerhalder, also teased the possibility of losing more characters. According to TV Guide, Somerhalder recently shared some details about an upcoming episode titled "Days of Future Past." He explained that many characters will be lost in the episode to come. He said, "This one was really about telling the story of this whole group of individuals and how they're all intersecting. And we lost some very wonderful, very beautiful characters in this episode."

While he did not reveal who or how they will die, he spoke about an upcoming car explosion during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He said, "This car blew up and I was 200 feet away and I could still feel the heat and the percussion from this thing…The audience isn't going to get the blast that I felt. What they're going to feel is real heartbreak for why that explosion happened."

With that, fans can expect that the episodes ahead will bring much excitement, as well as sadness, as more characters could soon be leaving. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 is expected to return on April 1.
