'The Voice' News: The Top 12 Are Now Named, Crowd Favorites Went Home
After the top 24 sang their hearts out last Monday and Tuesday episodes of "The Voice," the final 3 contestants of each coach were finally named. Unfortunately, not just one fan favorite went home last night, and many were heartbroken to hear the results.
Last night revealed the top 2 singers that the public voted for each of the Teams. The coaches will then have to save one out of the four contestants who are in danger. The three contestants will then continue to the next round of the Live Playoffs next week.
A group performance for each team began for each elimination, and Team Gwen was the first to start. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Team Gwen has distinct artists this year, which makes her group strong. The public voted for Jeffery Austin and Braiden Sunshine, and with four remaining singers, Gwen has to make a tough decision. She ultimately chose Korin Burowski, after saying that she wants to follow her heart. Regina Love, Ellie Lawrence, and Viktor Kiraly went home.
Team Blake was next, and the first two singers that were safe were Barrett Baber and Zach Seabaugh. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the country singer said he's sorry to the other contestants and said he picks Emily Ann Roberts. Ivonne Acero, Morgan Frazier, and Nadjah Nicole all bid good-bye to the show.
For Team Pharrell, the public decided to save Evan McKeel and Madi Davis. The remaining singers on his team, Darius Scott, Celeste Betton, Mark Hood, and Riley Biederer, were up for elimination; however, it's Hood that Pharrell ultimately picked to continue in the competition.
America voted for Jordan Smith and Shelby Brown of Team Adam. The Maroon 5 lead singer was struggling when he had to choose among Amy Vachal, Blaine Mitchell, Chance Peña, and Keith Semple. Vachal was chosen, after Adam said he had to follow his gut.
Watch "The Voice" Live Playoffs continue next week on NBC.
