'The Voice' News: Top 12 in for a Tough Fight to Win the Vote of Americans
"The Voice" top 12 contestants proved that they deserve to win this season during last night's episode, and viewers will have to decide which of the 12 remaining singers will make it through the top 11.
The competition is just left with the three of the best singers from each coaches, and according to Hollywood Life, it was a "night of incredible performances" last evening.
Braiden Sunshine was first to take the stage, and the artitst sang "Renegade" by Styx, and Gwen said that she's proud of the youngest artist in the show. "I love having you on my team," said Braiden's coach.
Team Adam's Amy Vachal was next, and performed "Hotline Bling" by Drake. Blake described the performance as "unbelievable," and even said, "I don't think there's ever been a more elegant and classy performance of a song about a booty call in the history of music."
Mark Hood, who was saved by Pharrell last week, sang Phil Collins' "Against All Odds," which left the coaches at awe. Another "saved" contestant, Emily Ann Roberts, took the stage, and sang "Blame It On Your Heart" by Patty Loveless. Blake congratulated her for owning the stage every time she performs.
Gwen's save, Korin Bukowski, sang "Titanium," and Hollywood Life said that the singer totally "nailed" it. Barrett Baber performed after, and he sang "Right Here Waiting" by Richard Marx. Blake said his performance is "real," and told Barrett is a great singer.
Pharrell's Madi Davis was next, and sang Jewel's "Who Will Save Your Soul." Fans saw Madi finally singing a more upbeat song, and Gwen said she had fun seeing her. Jeffery Austin from Team Gwen sang "Let It Go" by James Bay, and the singer got a standing ovation from the audience.
Adam's Shelby Brown performed next, and the country singer sang Jamey Johnson's "TK." Adam said that Shelby is definitely there to play, and the coach praised her for recovering from a mistake she made during the performance.
Evan McKeel sang "This Is It" this week, and Pharrell is happy that he stayed true to who he is. Jordan Smith, one of the definite contenders for the title this year, sang "Great Is Thy Faithfulness," and many were surprised to see him sing Gospel since he has never done that yet. He also earned a standing ovation from the audience, including the judges.
Last to perform is Zach Seabaugh, and the artist sang Little Texas' "My Love." The crowd went wild for him, after seeing him show his "romantic" side again.
TV Line ranked the remaining 12 contestants, before last night's performance, and Korin and Braiden ended up at the bottom 2 .Fans are curious whether one of the two will end up going home tonight on "The Voice."
