Walking Dead Season 5 Recap: Terminus and the Return of Morgan

Sunday's Season 5 premiere of "The Walking Dead" is without a doubt one of the most action-packed season premieres in the series' run. the claims that the cast have been making about episode one titled "No Sanctuary" indeed has been filled with lots of action, and lots of brutal zombie slaying.

The episode starts off with Rick, Daryl, Glenn, and Bob about to be taken away by the Terminus people to the slaughter – the episode confirmed that residents of Terminus are indeed are cannibals. While Rick and the others definitely wouldn't go without a fight, they get gassed and are taken away.

Other unnamed survivors then get slaughtered like livestock, their throats slit and their heads bashed in with a bat. One of the butchers then takes aim at Glenn's head but just as he is about to take a swing, Gareth comes in to take notes, where the one with the bat takes aim again. This time, he is interrupted by the sound of gunfire.

Meanwhile, Carol is on her way to Terminus with Tyreese and baby Judith. They're being followed by a herd of walkers but are led away by the sound of gunfire towards Terminus. Carol – intent on saving Rick and the others – wears a poncho, kills a walker, and covers herself in zombie guts. She then follows the walkers towards Terminus and causes mayhem throughout the camp, starting by blowing up the propane tank.

With the confusion, Rick and the others manage to escape with their lives where they meet with Carol and escape to the nearby woods. They grab Rick's ammo bag and contemplate finishing off the Terminus survivors.

The episode ends with a man covered from head to toe who stands on the tracks next to the Terminus sign which Rick covered. The man is revealed to be Morgan Jones, the one who saved Rick's life the moment he got out of the hospital. There's an indication that he would be joining Rick's group – who are already numbered at 15 – but that may or may not be the case.
