'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers: Cast Discuss Villain Negan
Fans are still waiting to meet the newest villain of the hit series "The Walking Dead" season 6.
Previous reports have been anticipating the introduction of Negan, which is to be played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The character is notorious for his violence, as well as questionable morals.
One of the stars of the series, Chandler Riggs, recently shared some information about the villain. According to E! News, he stated, "Negan's pretty messed up. He's not cool in the comics because he's such an annoyance because he just takes half of everything from you."
He stated that the portrayal of the character in the series will be similar to the comic series. Riggs explained that the group will have a hard time standing up against Negan, as well as his group called The Saviors.
The creator of the comic series, Robert Kirkman, also spoke to the New York Times about the danger of Negan, compared to the Governor. He stated, "So if you encounter somebody that's been in this world for a year, like the Governor, he's going to be a pretty dangerous guy who's done a lot to survive. But if you find somebody who's been living in this world for three or four years or however long Negan has survived, they're going to be that much more adapted to this world, and that much more savage and dangerous."
The executive producer of the series, Scott Gimple, also explained to TV Line that despite his questionable reputation, he is not a psychopath. He stated that Negan is actually charismatic, despite the fact that he kills people. Because of that, he is expected to be an interesting villain for the group.
Gimple explained that they have been working hard to deliver the character with justice. With that, fans will have to wait until the end of the current season to learn more about Negan.
"The Walking Dead" season 6 airs on AMC every Sunday nights.
