'The X Factor 2015' News: Host Olly Murs' Epic Fail Made Fans Question If Results Are Rigged
Last epispde of "The X Factor" will forever be remembered as the night that the host, Olly Murs, made a huge blunder. After he announced the latest eliminated contestant, even before getting the envelope that shows the results of public votes, many viewers wonder if the show is rigged.
Two more contestants bade good-bye last night after the movie-themed performance this week, and they were Max Stone and Monica Michael. According to the Mirror UK, Max Stone was sent home first, after receiving the least number of votes from the public, and Monica and Anton Stephans were sent to the sing-offs. Rita Ora's talent sang "Broken Hearted Girl" by Beyonce, while the "Overs" singer sang "If You Don't Know Me by Now" by Simply Red.
The judges were left on a deadlock, after Simon Cowell and Nick Grimshaw chose Anton to stay, while the ladies chose Monica. Nick said that based on the sing-off, Anton performed better than Monica, so he had to send her home. "I have so much history with her, so I'm sticking with Monica," judge Chery Fernandez-Versini said. Olly Murs' major blunder happened when he announced Monica's departure prematurely, and his error earned him backlash from social media, according to the Daily Mail.
One fan wrote on Twitter, and sarcastically said, "Tune into ITV2 now where Olly Murs will be revealing who is leaving next week on the #XFactor," while another viewer said, "#xfactor ollie murs proves its a #fix." Meanwhile, fans wonder if Simon will fire the TV presenter from "The X Factor." A Twitter user even said, "The next person leaving xfactor is Olly Murs #deadlock," and another said it will now be the start of the end of Olly's hosting career.
