'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers for Friday, February 26, 2016: Phyllis Calls It Quits with Jack
Following the strenuous week that led to the wide gap between Jack and Phyllis, spoilers reveal that the next episode of "The Young and the Restless" will finally see the end of the couple's romance.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is still very angry about Jack's (Peter Bergman) spill about Marco. While he only told Neil (Kristoff St. John) about the whole ordeal, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) accidentally heard the conversation and has become part of the dark circle. Phyllis still can't believe that Jack spilled her secret, and while the latter will show how much he regrets what he did, Friday's episode will see Phyllis dumping a bouquet of flowers from a genuinely apologetic Jack.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, there is a really good chance Phyllis will want a divorce. Jack has known from the start that his wife is particularly difficult to handle when she's angry, but it seems all of anger has been engulfed in the secret that Jack spilled to other people.
The outlet suggests that Phyllis' marriage going down the drain could mean freedom for her and a close friend she has shared a lot of hard times with. Initially, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis are only connected by their anger and desire for revenge against Victor (Eric Braeden), but their connection can go deeper.
With the possibility that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will soon discover Phyllis and Billy's scheme to make her fall, Billy could easily be free from the rocky relationship and it could pave the way for a new romance between him and Phyllis.
Other relationships are at stake in the upcoming episode as spoilers reveal that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will want to know everything that's going on between Victor and her husband. Adam (Justin Hartley) has lied to her a couple of times and she doubts if he will tell her the entire truth this time. If Adam lies this time, it could also be the end of his marriage, especially when Chelsea discovers a secret that will turn the tables on her life.
Finally, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sage (Kelly Sullivan) are still unaware of the battle raging between Victor and Adam, which will make them opt for a decision that will supposedly bring peace to their haunted relationship. The couple will seek the help of an adoption agency to get a baby. Still unknowing of her late son's paternity, Sage will make it clear that she's finally ready to have another child through adoption.
"The Young and the Restless" airs every weekday on CBS.
