Third Day's 'Wherever You Are' to Release Nov. 1
Recorded over a six month period in Atlantas Southern Tracks Studio, the album is the follow up to the bands Grammy-winning and Gold-certified 2004 release, Wire.
Essential Records rock band Third Day will be releasing its eighth studio project, Wherever You Are on Nov. 1. Recorded over a six month period in Atlantas Southern Tracks Studio, the album is the follow up to the bands Grammy-winning and Gold-certified 2004 release, Wire.
Wherever You Are features 12 brand new tracks and was co-produced by Third Day and industry veteran Brown Bannnister.
Third Day frontman Mac Powell recalls the writing and recording process:
It was an incredible experience in the studio this time around, says Powell. The end result is a collection of songs that reflects what we want to communicate to anyone who listens to this record. We want to convey, as the title track states, that wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever you are going through, God is ready to meet you right there. No matter where, no matter why, no matter when, there is hope.
One song on the record, Cry Out to Jesus, which the band is offering for free download on its website is already spreading Wherever You Ares message of hope to victims of Hurricane Katrina.
We cant turn on the news without our hearts breaking for the people suffering through the devastation left by Katrina, says Powell in a statement on the groups website. We hope this song can bring even a small amount of hope and light to this dark hour.
Cry Out to Jesus and other songs from Wherever You Are can be heard on the bands current tour, which is scheduled to run till the end of October.
