'Toddlers & Tiaras' Young Star Calls other Contestant a 'Hooker'
The ever controversial "Toddlers & Tiaras" now has problems between its young star castmates as one of 5-year old girls has said that her rival 3-year old dresses like a "hooker."
The offender, Isabella Barrett, was leaving a spray tanning session with her mother in New York City when she poked fun at the younger Paisley Dickey for copying off of her spray tanning sessions.
The she said, "Last time I was here, Paisley was trying to copy me ... but my mom doesn't dress me up as a hooker."
Barrett is referring to a previously controversial episode of the show where Dickey dressed as Julia Robert's character in "Pretty Woman," a prostitute.
TMZ brought up a serious question, how does such a young child know the word "hooker?"
They point to how she is constantly looking at her mother for approval during the video, and feel she was coached by her mom to say that.
Dickey's mother fired back and said, "No blame is to this sweet little girl [Isabella], not her fault. She's just listening to her mom!"
She continued, "I am used to this kind of behavior now from jealous moms. Doesn't even bother me anymore ... This is Isabella's mom's way of trying to get attention for her daughter."
"Toddlers & Tiaras," shows children aged three through five competing in beauty pageants and contests where they are trained to act and behave in a certain way to beat out other children their age in beauty and style.
Most of the hatred toward this show stems from the behavior of the parents. Some parents take their daughters to waxing and tanning salons, while some put veneers on their teeth. Others cake on makeup, while instructing their daughters they have to be prettier or cuter to standout in front of all the other girls.
Some blogs are calling these girls "Prosti-tots" because of the costumes they wear. Sometimes they wear bikinis, or elaborate underwear to mimic sex icons Madonna or Lady Gaga, while another wore a Julia Roberts outfit from "Pretty Women," a movie where Roberts played a prostitute.
NewsBusters reports the show as being a free pass for pedophiles as well.
Brent Bozell, the columnist of the news site wrote, "It’s quite possible if these kinds of videos and photographs were found on the computer of a 40-year-old man, he might well be arrested or investigated for child pornography. But TLC is spreading these images far and wide, with no consequences – and no apparent shame."
