Tom Clancy's 'The Division' Release Date & Update: Beta To Weave Three Story Threads
The release day of Tom Clancy's "The Division" is approaching fast. That is why Ubisoft has slowly but surely disclosed some details about the upcoming online-only open world third-person shooter role-playing video game.
According to Tech Advisor, the beta for the game begins on Jan. 28 on Xbox One and Jan. 29 on PS4 and PC. It will run until the end of the month. Those who are interested to take part in the testing can sign up in the beta waiting list. The game is also now available for pre-order. Gamers can head over to Amazon UK as the online commerce site is now accepting preorders for the game on PC, PlayStation4 and Xbox One.
PlayStation Lifestyle also detailed that those who have already pre-ordered or signed up for the closed testing session must check their inboxes to receive the codes to "The Division" beta. The expected size of the beta is 26 GB. Ubisoft also informed that those who wants to capture footage of the Atomos Assassin, Elgato Gaming HD60 and Atomos Shogun and are using Windows 10 will most likely encounter "corrupted video signal output when using an external video capture card/device."
In another news, more details of the gameplay is revealed by Ubisoft Massive Associate Creative Director Julian Gerighty. According to a Gamespot report, he said in an interview that the game's narrative is divided into three different threads. Each of these threads comprise of a distinct story to tell.
First thread is about the virus, which will put the limelight on who created it and why it was made. The question of whether there will be a cure or not is also going to be revealed. Next thread involves the factions and it will center on tackling their origins and how the player will deal with them. Last is the restructuring of the destroyed infrastructure. This last thread is the "crucial plot point" so Gerighty did not spill much.
"The Division" will hit store shelves on March 8 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
