'Troll and I' Supports Local Co-op Mode for Maximum Teamwork
Maximum Games and Spiral House's action-adventure game "Troll and I" was released yesterday, March 21, at a 20 percent limited discount introductory price of $39.99.
The CEO of Maximum Games, Christina Seelye, says that the company is more than happy to kick off their ambitious year with a splash, especially that this is their first ever release for the year 2017. "We are thrilled to bring gamers into the expansive world of Otto and Troll," she says.
"Troll and I" can be played solo or in co-op mode with a local friend and through a split-screen feature. The game is set during the World War II era in Scandinavia and follows a boy named Otto who befriends a powerful troll, who is unfortunately being hunted down by a killer.
Together, Otto and the troll go on a mission to defeat several enemies (both supernatural orcs and human threats) throughout the forests and mountainous areas of Scandinavia.
Each of the characters have different capabilities. Otto's strength relies on stealth to be able to defeat enemies, but Troll has a more natural and powerful gift - he is known to crush enemies in just one single blow.
"Otto and Troll possess special contrasting abilities that complement one another's strengths and weaknesses," as said in a description by Maximum Games.
"Troll and I's" gameplay heavily relies on teamwork. In fact, the co-op mode of the game can only be played side by side with friends and not through online mode.
The game was expected to be published by Square Enix, but for some reason, it was announced to be a project under Maximum Games by December 2016. The game publisher is currently known as one of the top 15 publishers for the interactive entertainment industry.
The game is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows. It will be released in Europe on March 24.
