'True Blood' Season 6 Episode 3 Recap: 'You're Dead to Me, Sookie Stackhouse'
With this past Sunday's third episode of the HBO hit drama 'True Blood" it seems like the love story between Sookie and Bill is officially over, with little to no chance of reconciliation.
In a heated argument displaying how little the former lovers care for each other, Bill was able to enter Sookie's house without invitation. That's a good thing for Bill because it is fairly clear that Sookie would not have offered the invitation. In the argument, Bill told Sookie he lives "by a different set of rules now," which did not impress her. She simply replied by explaining, "You're not God, Bill, you're just an a------!"
Bill did not take this well. In a statement to end their relationship once and for all, Bill said, "You're dead to me, Sookie Stackhouse."
This had little affect on Sookie, who simply replied, "I'm good with that."
Their exchange is a far cry from the cooing lovers of the first several seasons of "True Blood." It also puts to bed the idea that the two would reunite. Sookie's love life is always in question and it is hard to imagine that such a strong flame that existed between Bill and Sookie could be extinguished forever-- that is it was hard to imagine. With the events of the last episode, their relationship, romantic or otherwise, seems over.
Last Sunday's episode also welcomed the return of Sarah Newlin. Sarah hasn't been on the show since the second season, but she picked up right where she left off, with a romance between her and Steve Newlin.
Tune in to HBO next Sunday at 9 p.m. to find out what happens next.
