Biden uses Trump's indictment and arrest for fundraising
The latest developments in the legal case against Trump coming out of Georgia did not go unnoticed by President Joe Biden, who is his likely Democratic opponent for the 2024 presidential election if he wins the Republican nomination. In a 7:30 p.m. ET post on X Thursday, Biden declared “Apropos of nothing, I think today’s a great day to give to my campaign.”

In addition to taking a veiled swipe at his likely opponent in next year’s presidential election, Biden included a link to the fundraising platform ActBlue, which enables supporters to donate to his re-election campaign. The current RealClearPolitics average of polls measuring voters’ intentions in the 2024 presidential election, shows Biden beating Trump by 2 percentage points.
