Tyrese Gibson Thanks Wife as Child Abuse Investigations are Dropped
The investigations regarding Tyrese Gibson beating his 10-year-old daughter, Shayla, has finally been closed.
It has been confirmed that actor Tyrese Gibson is no longer being investigated for apparently beating his daughter, Shayla, by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services. This news comes a few months after Gibson's ex-wife, Norma Gibson, requested a restraining order against the "Fast and the Furious" star after he physically hurt their daughter and beating her to the ground.
Norma has been divorced from the 38-year-old actor since 2009, and she filed the request back in August of this year saying Gibson "pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other." His ex-wife also alleged that Gibson hit the 10-year-old about 12 to 16 times. Apparently, this was kept hidden from Norma until Shayla complained about being unable to sit down due to pain.
This allegation was quickly refuted Gibson who referred to it as "hurtful lies."
In September, Norma was granted temporary custody of the child along with a restraining order for Gibson instructing him to stay 100 yards away from his ex-wife and their daughter, along with their home.
Now with the investigations being dropped, it has also been revealed that no charges will be made against the actor. Following this news, Gibson immediately took to Instagram to thank his wife, Samantha, for the support she had given him.
"When your 1st charge get dropped your wife's mind will finally REST!!!!!" Gibson posted a photo of Samantha sleeping in bed. "Thank you Jesus for sending me a fierce and strong wife who is educated and resilient that was able to stand with me so far though this unexpected storm... We stress so that our wives and kids can rest," he added.
