Upcoming HTC Phones 2015: Taiwan-Based Manufacturer Planning to Launch New Mid-Ranger for Indian Market?
HTC has recently reported that it made the highest revenue in a quarter in the last four years. While some can argue that the company's previous high-end devices are finally making a splash, most people would attribute HTC's success to its budding mid-range lineup.
Now, according to a report by Android Authority, HTC may be lining up a new Android-powered handset bound for the Indian market.
In the report, the company's president for global sales, Chia-Lin Chang, confirmed that there will be a midranger smartphone lined up especially for India by the third quarter this year.

The unknown device will reportedly cost around Rs. 15,000-20,000 and would be slightly more expensive than other popular devices in the subcontinent such as the Xiaomi Mi4 and the Asus ZenFone 2.
"We have a third-quarter plan for our global launch in India to introduce a device which is specifically designed for the Indian consumer," said Chang in an interview with ET Telecom.
In the report, HTC will also release a lower-end or entry-level device in India, though it could arrive much later. The HTC exec said they would have to focus on the handset's user experience and quality.
HTC has been doing a decent job selling its smartphones in India, the second largest smartphone market today. The Taiwan-based manufacturer reportedly holds six percent of the entire smartphone market share in the country, although it boasts a 19 percent share for 4G LTE-enabled devices.
