Upcoming Motorola Phones 2015: Lenovo-Owned Phone Maker to Launch 2 Flagships at July 28 Event
Motorola is among the more popular brands when it comes to smartphones. It had a resurgence in the market in 2013 after it unleashed the first ever Moto X device. In addition, it also helped that Motorola unveiled the very popular midranger, the Moto G.
Now, everyone is awaiting for the upcoming versions of both the Moto X and Moto G, and the successors of both lineups have been in the rumor mill for quite some time already.
However, on Motorola's global press event on July 28, only the flagship lineup has been confirmed. In the report by GSM Arena, the Lenovo-owned company will announce not one, but two Moto X versions.
Based on previous rumors and reports, there will be a 5.2 and a 5.7-inch edition of the device. The invitation had the letters XOX, which means 'hugs and kisses', and which could pertain to two Moto X flagships.
However, the report indicated that the "O" in the XOX actually looks like a "G," which hints the appearance of the third generation of the Moto G.
Aside from the two Moto X devices, and the new Moto G, another surprise announcement from Motorola could be a new DROID handset for Verizon.
In the report, the new smartphones that Motorola will release would be among the first devices that would be influenced by Lenovo, who bought Motorola from Google last year.
