Nick, who married Vanessa, 31, in 2011, also gushed over their son and described the infant as being "the most amazing thing."

"Officially in cheesy dad mode," he tweeted on Sept. 17. "Camden is easily the most amazing thing that has happened in my life. Vanessa Lachey and I are truly blessed!"

The couple welcomed Camden John, who is their first child, into the world on Wednesday, Sept. 12, and admitted that he has changed their perspectives on love.

"We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey," the couple told People.com in a statement.

"Born today at 6:54 p.m., he came into this world at 8 lbs., 9 oz. and 21 inches. Love has truly been redefined for both of us."

The couple, who wed in a televised wedding ceremony, is yet to release the first official photos of baby Camden and although it is common for celebrities to sign baby photo deals with major tabloid magazines, it is still unclear whether the pair will follow suit.

Since the birth of baby Camden John, Vanessa, who works as a TV host, has been doting over her son on Twitter.

"One week ago today at 6:54pm, @NickSLachey & I were holding our son, Camden John Lachey for the 1st time. Life is such a beautiful miracle," she tweeted on Sept. 19.
