Vivo Xplay 5 Release Date & Update: Coming With 6 GB Of RAM, Snapdragon 820, 5.5-Inch Display

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has finally revealed that it is releasing its latest flagship smartphone dubbed as the Vivo Xplay 5 soon. According to a report by Liliputing, the company has not officially announced the device yet but a teaser has already been released on Weibo confirming some of the highlight details.

As seen on the teaser image, the Xplay 5 smartphone is confirmed to come with a whopping 6 GB LPDDR4 RAM and Qualcomm's fastest and latest processor, the Snapdragon 820. GSM Arena also reported that the device is already confirmed to sport a dual-curved display just like the one found on the Galaxy Edge.

Apart from the confirmed details, other non-confirmed specs of the device were spotted in the earlier benchmark results which suggest that the smartphone is a high-end one that's worth checking out. It is also reported that it will sport a 5.5-inch QHD display with 1440x2560 pixel resolution and will feature solar charging.

The device is also rumored to carry a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, along with a 4,300mAh battery. Gizmo China also detailed that the device was spotted in the AnTuTu benchmark website and showed a result of 162,610 phone score. This makes the Xplay 5 the fastest smartphone on the benchmarking app. The source also mentioned that the Xplay 5's score beat the Le Max Pro in terms of the RAM, UX, and CPU.

Furthermore, another update from a different report in GSM Arena says that the device will be equipped with the Hi-Fi 3.0. There are no specific details about this technology yet but it was revealed through a teaser poster. It is believed to be some sort of advanced audio processing chip though.

The Vivo Xplay 5 will be officially coming out on March 1. More of the specs and features of the flagship smartphone will be revealed upon the unveiling of the device.
