Vizio SmartCast E-Series (2017) Release Date, Specs, Price News: Entry-Level TVs Available With 4K, HDR and Chromecast

Vizio has introduced its new SmartCast E-Series collection for 2017. The E-Series is known as Vizio's entry-level television range but despite their more affordable price tags, these models deliver uncompromised value to consumers.

The all-new E-Series include models with 4K Ultra HD High Dynamic Range (HDR), from 55 inches and above. These television models have support for HDR10 content so they are compatible with HDR Blu-ray players from Samsung and Philips, as well as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One S game consoles. Moreover, with HDR technology, viewers will be able to enjoy content with ultra-clear and rich video quality.

Vizio's 2017 SmartCast E-Series lineup also includes Full HD and Ultra HD models with screen sizes ranging from 32 inches to 80 inches.

All of the new models come built-in with Chromecast so viewers will be able to stream their desired content. Users will simply have to tap the Cast button found on Chromecast-enabled apps like Netflix and YouTube in order to enjoy videos on the big screen. Furthermore, with the Vizio SmartCast app, users can control the television's settings and content from anywhere in the room. They can even ask the Google Assistant on Google Home devices to search for and stream the specific content that they desire.

In terms of technical specifications, the Vizio E-Series collection for 2017 comes with Full-Array LED backlight and up to 16 Active LED Zones for greater depth and more vibrant contrast. Clear Action 240 technology and an ultra-fast 120 Hz refresh rate also ensures that action-packed scenes are smooth and lag-free.

The SmartCast E-Series collection includes a 32-inch Full-Array LED Smart TV ($209.99), a 43-inch Ultra HD Home Theater Display ($399.99) and a 50-inch Ultra HD Home Theater Display ($469.99).
