'Walking Dead Season 8' Live Stream (AMC): How to Watch Premiere Episode Titled 'Mercy'
AMC's "The Walking Dead" will open its eighth season this weekend with the drama's 100th episode.
"The Walking Dead" kicks off season 8 with an episode titled "Mercy." The show's 100th episode premieres in the U.S. on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. EST.
Sling TV is offering a special deal on the same Sunday, Robert Kirkman's post-apocalyptic zombie thriller returns to the small screen. New users should be able to access Sling for free. Specifically, the streaming platform is offering a preview of the Sling Orange service which comes with 28 live channels for a monthly fee of $20.

By subscribing to the promo, "The Walking Dead" fans will be able to stream the season 8 premiere on AMC since the network is covered in Sling Orange.
Brand new episodes should air weekly until Sunday, Dec. 17th, when the series enters its midseason hiatus. The remaining eight episodes of season 8 should premiere sometime in Feb. 2018.
Rick (Andrew Lincoln) leads the all-out war against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviors in the upcoming season. Alexandria, now teamed up with the Kingdom and Hilltop, will bring the fight to their shared enemy.
As previously reported, the eighth season was created with the intent to make its preceding installment smaller in comparison. But what does that mean exactly? Last season saw a number of character deaths, Michael Cudlitz' Abraham, Sonequa Martin's Sasha, not to mention the tragic passing of the father-to-be Glenn (Steven Yeun). Perhaps everyone should just prepare for more to come.
While the creator himself, Kirkman, said that Rick is not safe, his death is not expected to happen anytime soon.
"No-one is safe. Hopefully there have been points where you go, 'Is this it? Is this where Rick dies?' And he doesn't," Kirkman told those in attendance at 2017 New York Comic Con.
He added, "One day, the moment will come where you go, 'Oh my God, it is!'"
