Touted as a playoff team and one of the more favoured squads in the league, the Wizards have simply not been up to par as their record shows as they are below .500 in the midway point of the season.
They have players that can make the difference – with John Wall still one of the elite point guards in the league and Bradley Beal as one of the deadliest shooters at the moment.
However, they have not done enough to lift the team and they have also struggled mightily with a lot of injuries.
Things are not too late for Washington, though, as they are still capable to make a run especially after the All-Star Weekend and possibly clinch a spot in the playoffs in a relatively weaker conference compared to the West.
However, for the Sixers, their continuous performances throughout the seasons have been questionable.
Still with a lot of questions more than answers with their draft choices, the Sixers have a lot of big players in the line-up but are unable to maximize any of their uses.
They may have a plan that only a few may understand, but it is obvious that there are still a lot of things to do if they want to start improving their performances.
This is only the first time the two teams are meeting this season and it should be an intriguing battle on a highly powered offensive squad going up against young talents.
