‘We remember our heroes’: Christians reflect on the 75th anniversary of D-Day
Thursday marks the 75th anniversary of when Allied forces invaded Normandy in occupied France during the Second World War, in an invasion known as D-Day.
Considered by many to be the largest amphibious invasion in military history, approximately 156,000 American, British, and Canadian troops landed on five beaches, eventually liberating France from Nazi control.
