'Westworld' Release Date, Spoilers News: 'Women are King' in Season 2

The second season of HBO's science fiction western thriller "Westworld" is not scheduled to premiere any time soon, and much like its faithful fans, actress Evan Rachel Wood cannot seem to escape this universe.

Through Instagram, Wood shared a series of photos of what looks like the Western theme park, Westworld. She was not in character as Dolores Abernathy in any of the photos she shared so it is safe to assume she was enjoying the wild west in her day off.

Not much has been said about the upcoming season, but the actress' allusion to the hit show was enough to get fans pumped up.

"Looking over your fair lands like the true Westworld OG," a fan commented on her snap.

When "Westworld" returns for a brand new season, Dolores will no longer be a pushover like she was before. The actress said that the host will harness strength from her past traumas as she goes up against her oppressors and that includes William (Jimmi Simpson) who turned into the Man in Black (Ed Harris).

After 30 years of tolerating whatever form of abuse, she finally decides to rise above all of it. And she will come forth stronger than she ever was.

"Dolores is multifaceted; she's obviously an artificial being but what the show explores is what consciousness even is," Wood told Forbes. "The experiences she's having are very real; the trauma is real; the pain is real. What's to say her pain isn't any different than ours?"

As previously reported, the women of the park will become a force to be reckoned with next season. Tessa Thompson who plays Charlotte Hale previously teased that "women are king" in the forthcoming installment.

"Westworld" season 2 is slated to premiere sometime next year on HBO.
