'Westworld' Season 2 Spoilers, Cast News: Ben Barnes Returns, Zahn McClarnon OK After Accident
"Westworld" actor Ben Barnes is going to be in season 2. The actor confirmed he got back on the set at least once since production began for the HBO series.
Barnes revealed in an interview with Screen Rant that he reported to the set of "Westworld" season 2. The actor reprised his role as Logan, who frequented the theme park as a hobby.
It's unclear, however, if his character's return is part of a flashback since Logan was presumed dead in the season 1 finale. William sent him off on a horse at the edge of the theme park because the latter could no longer take his abusive antics. The horse was assumed to be pack with bombs.
In other related news, "Westworld" temporarily shut down production last Wednesday after cast member Zahn McClarnon had an accident at home. The actor was brought to the hospital for an emergency treatment after he fell and hit his head.
McClarnon was admitted to the ICU for potential brain injuries. HBO, however, released a statement to confirm that he's now doing fine.
"He is on the mend and looking forward to getting back to work," the HBO statement read. "'Westworld' will resume filming on both units next week."
The upcoming installment will contain 10 episodes as with season 1. "Westworld" season 2 will have new faces like Betty Gabriel, Katja Herbers, Neil Jackson, Hiroyuki Sanada and Jonathan Tucker.
Confirmed to return aside from Barnes are Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Jimmi Simpson, Louis Herthum and Tessa Thomspon. Anthony Hopkins' return, however, has been shrouded in secrecy.
HBO has not set the premiere date for "Westworld" season 2 but it will likely return in spring of 2018. It's been speculated that the show will take over the usual April slot for "Game of Thrones," which won't be on air until late 2018 or early 2019.
