'Wolverine 3' news, cast, spoilers: The return of Sabretooth and Hugh Jackman's last time

"Wolverine 3" has definitely been generating buzz since the official announcement of the third installment of the franchise. Although details about the main story are quite vague at this point — probably because it is still in development stage — lead actor Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, has already dropped hints referring to the comic book mini series "Old Man Logan," which is Wolverine's life set in the alternate universe.

Nothing has been confirmed yet on the other characters that fans can expect to see in the upcoming movie, but there is news that Liev Schreiber might be reprising his role as Sabretooth. According to Heroic Hollywood, an exchange between the two actors on Twitter made people buzzing about his return. A few days back, Jackman posted a picture on Twitter of him intensely training, with more likeliness that it was for his Wolverine role since they will be shooting next year. Schreiber then replied by asking if he needed to do the same (training).

Whether Schreiber is in talks of joining the cast officially or it was just playful talk, many fans have responded quite well to this speculation. Followers of the franchise felt that although the last two Wolverine films may have had some elements that brought them down, Schreiber's portrayal of Sabretooth was definitely not one of them. So if Schreiber was to play Victor Creed, Sabretooth's real name, one more time, then it would be a most welcome return.

What can be confirmed, though, according to Wired, is that Jackman will definitely be setting his claws aside after this movie. The actor, who is now 46, will be 48 when the movie comes out, and so the gruesome trainings for the actor to keep up the immortal physique of Wolverine may prove to be more than what he can take. However, for now, Jackman is definitely putting all of his efforts into keeping up his Wolverine image as he has expressed desires to leave the role on a high note.

Wolverine 3 is expected to hit theatres on March 3, 2017.
