WrestleMania 32 News: Undertaker to Face Shane McMahon; Brock Lesnar Rumored to be Paired with Dean Ambrose
World Wrestling Entertainment superstar The Undertaker finally gets an opponent for WrestleMania 32. The said blockbuster event will be held on April 3rd at the AT&T Center in Arlington, Texas.
And as part of the night's festivities, 'the Deadman' will be facing the boss' own son, Shane McMahon. In a report by Sean Rueter for Cageside Seats, the match between McMahon and the Undertaker will be a Hell in a Cell match, as stipulated by his own father, WWE CEO Vince McMahon.
The younger McMahon's last WWE in-ring appearance was in 2010, during the May 4th episode of Monday Night RAW. In the said episode, Shane's character suffered a broken leg and ankle, courtesy of Randy Orton and The Legacy.
He made a return during this week's episode of RAW where he interrupted the awarding of the "Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence" Award to his sister, Stephanie. Shane demanded for control of RAW, in which his father heeded by stipulating that he should win at WrestleMania 32 first.
It was then when the match against the Undertaker was made.
Since he left the WWE, Shane became the CEO of You on Demand, China's first video on demand (VOD) and Pay-Per-View service. Although he stepped down as CEO of the company in 2013, he is still the Vice Chairman of the Board.
Like the Undertaker, former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar also got his opponent announcement for WrestleMania 32.
Another report by Sean Rueter said that the decision for Lesnar's oppoent was made over the weekend. Lesnar and Ambrose had already faced each other recently, alongside Roman Reigns, in a triple threat match as the main event feature of Fastlane 2016 held last Sunday in Cleveland, Ohio.
Reigns ended up victorious in the said match, subsequently winning the number one contender slot for the WWE Heavyweight championship. The said match-up versus champion Triple H will take place as the main event for WrestleMania 32.
