WWE Royal Rumble Predictions: Roman Reigns to Keep His Title Despite Wyatt Family's Intervention?
For the first time in the history of the WWE, the WWE World Heavyweight belt will be on the line at the Royal Rumble, and some of the predictions place Roman Reigns, the current champion, on top.
Vince McMahon announced the sly match that will put Reigns in a battle against 29 other men. With just himself fighting for his championship, it would be impossible to think that the night will be an easy one for the reigning champ.
The upcoming Royal Rumble will have a lot of firsts. One is the match itself, wherein instead of competing for a shot at the title on Wrestlemania 32, the contenders will fight for a belt. Another is, if Reigns wins the match, it will be his second consecutive win at the event — something that the world has not seen in 18 years after Steve Austin made history.
According to a teaser released by WWE, there will be 15 former champions in the match, including The Big Show, Kane, Randy Orton, and others. Aside from the idea that they will want the belt from Reigns, it is already understood that former champions never give up easily.
Bleacher Report speculates that Bray Wyatt will be the last man that Reigns will have to eliminate, and while the Wyatts initially said that they won't fall short in the match, the outlet suggests that Reigns will still come out victorious — only to be battered by Wyatt again by the end of the night.
Aside from the former champions and the threatening Wyatt family, there will be six former Royal Rumble winners in the circle. This means Reigns will have to put on a strong face and a firm stand since he will be faced with other fighters who have seen and felt the victory just as he did.
What's more interesting is Brock Lesnar's involvement in the match. It is impossible to take out Lesnar from the bout since he has had heated confrontations and brawls with Reigns in the past months. The man definitely deserves a shot.
