Xiaomi Mi 4i Specs, Release Date: Device Now Available Worldwide, Just Not From Xiaomi Itself
Just shortly after Xiaomi announced its newest smartphone, the Mi 4i in India and a few Asian markets, the new device is now available for buyers worldwide. However there's a catch.
You won't be buying straight from Xiaomi.
According to a report by Phone Arena, the new Xiaomi Mi 4i can be bought from Hong Kong based third-party reseller Uniqbe. However, the pricing will be slightly higher.
The Mi 4i that was made available in India only costs $200, but consumers would have to pay more if they were to buy from Uniqbe. In the report, the price tag for the Android-powered smartphone is $240, and that does not include shipping and other import charges for international orders.
Based on the report, shipping ranges from $40-60, so it may be safe to say that one can get the Xiaomi Mi 4i for $300.
So what does this new handset offer? The smartphone packs a 5-inch display with the now staple Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a Snapdragon 615 chipset that supports 64-bit applications, 2GB of RAM and a octa-core CPU.
Other specs include a 13MP main camera, a 5MP front shooter, a 3,120mAh battery, and Android Lollipop out of the box.
Unfortunately, the device only has a 16GB of internal memory that cannot be expanded due to the absence of a microSD card slot. There are two SIM slots though for dual-standby compatibility.
