Xiaomi Mi Note Release Date: 'Semi' High-End Android Device Soon To Launch In Malaysia
Announced earlier this year, the Xiaomi Mi Note release date is among the most awaited dates for any Android and Xiaomi fan.
However, since its press launch in January, the device has only been available in China.
But that may soon change as a recent report revealed that the device could soon make its debut in Malaysia.
According to a report by GSM Arena, the Xiaomi handset appeared on a Malaysian certification website where it has already passed.
The Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) has reportedly certified the Xiaomi Mi Note, which means its release date in the Asian country is just around the corner.
In the report by Malaysian website Oizoioi, the Xiaomi device is disguised in a phone with a model number 2015011, while another handset with the model number 2014215 is allegedly the 3G version of the Xiaomi Mi4.
For those who may want a refresher about the Mi Note, it is the "semi" high-end device of Xiaomi, which was launched alongside the Mi Note Pro.
The Android-powered device boasts a huge 5.7-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz, and either a 16GB or 64GB of internal storage.
The handset also boasts a 13MP primary camera at the back and a 4MP shooter in front, dual-SIM capabilities, fast-charging features, a 3,000mAh battery, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box, surely with an impending update to version 5.0.
The Mi Note's imminent release in Malaysia could also spell the near launch of the device in other Asian countries.
