Your usual church conference video features a montage of last year's event in sync with the popular worship tune of the day. But your usual conference doesn't span three continents with programs in Sydney, London and New York City. Accordingly, Hillsong went big in this promo for their 2014 conference, "No Other Name."
In the video, a performer delivers an impassioned spoken word poem about the significance of names, reeling off the most famous (Shakespeare, Einstein) and infamous (Hitler) over a brash hip-hop beat. A flurry of historical images and stylish graphics whiz by. It's less a conference video and more a sermonizing sensory hurricane.
On the video's Vimeo page, Elevation Church commented, "guys, this is out of control."
