Zayn Malik News: Former 1D Star Debuts Pink Hair
One day before Valentine's Day hit the busy streets around the world, Zayn Malik once again took social media in a roller coaster ride after posting a photo featuring his new hair color.
The former One Direction star has gone through a lot of changes over the past year and has seen many critics questioning some of his decisions. However, his hair, which he dyed pink, gained the praise of fans worldwide.
He has gone through various hairstyles and shades ever since he left the hot band, including blonde, grey, and a stylish hue of green. Some fans said he just wanted to get attention after he started losing support for deciding to leave his band members. On the other hand, it seems that fans who disliked the singer for his decision then are now coming back to him after he debuted the new hairdo.
Despite the criticism and judgments that the singer received, his first solo single "Pillowtalk" topped charts not only in the United States but also in the United Kingdom. It was released on Jan. 29 and since then has become a favorite among fans.
According to Mirror, his new and first solo single has immediately become the fastest song to reach the top spot on Spotify's global chart. The song also saw 267,000 downloads in one week, placing the standards on records for the highest in a week's sale this year.
After five awesome years of music and touring around the world, Malik decided to leave the band that gave him his shot to be in the spotlight. Although many fans speculated that he had issues with his band mates, songwriter Jamie Scott said last year that the young music icon quit his band because the endless tours took a toll on him.
It has also been confirmed that despite Malik's decision to go solo, he is still good friends with the remaining band members: Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne.
However, in his first interview since walking out of 1D last year, he said he felt that he didn't have the chance to experiment his musical creativity while with the band. He said the music that they gave to the people didn't make him feel that he was happy or that he wanted what he was doing.
