ZTE Axon Max Is A 6-Inch Phablet With A 4,140 mAh Battery
The Chinese OEM, ZTE, has launched the final model that will complete its Axon series of phones, the Axon Max. According to a report in Tech Times, ZTE launched the Axon Max which is a 6-inch phablet with a huge 4,140 mAh battery.
Along with the Axon Max, ZTE also launched what it calls the Global VIP Passport service which caters to the needs of Axon owners. According to the company's CEO Adam Zeng, the Axon series is at the core of the company's strategy, as stated in the official press release. It further said, "The Axon Max may be the final building block of this bold line of devices, but it is really just the next step in what we believe will be a far-reaching dynasty of premium products with vision for what tomorrow's users need."
The phone is initially available in China, via an e-commerce website. It is currently available for CNY 2,799 or around $433, according to another report in Gadgets 360. The phone is touted to be a high-end or premium smartphone.

According to the sources, the device has a 6-inch Super AMOLED Full HD screen, with a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution, with a pixel density of 367 ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with an Adreno 405 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. Its RAM is lesser by 1 GB compared to the Axon and the Axon Lux.
On the software side, it runs on MiFavor 3.5 UI which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Its cameras are a 16 megapixel rear facing camera equipped with LED flash, autofocus and an f/1.9 aperture and a 13 megapixel front facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Internal storage is at 32 GB, but according to the e-commerce listing, only 20 GB is usable. Memory is expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card slot.
One of phone's features is the very large 4,140 mAh battery, as well as five energy-saving modes which allows the battery to be extended by up to 50 percent. Quick Charge 2.0 support is also available on the device, which allows fast charging from 0 to 60 percent with just 30 minutes of charging.
